Job Summary: Responsible for developing, facilitating, and overseeing the delivery of a broad range of educational and cultural programs designed to create leaders in our youth. You will report to the Director.
Full Time| Monday- Friday| 8:00AM-4:30PM| Hours for this position are flexible, allowing variations in start and end times and working some Saturdays.
This position can be located in Idabel OK, Wright City OK or Valliant OK.
$25.69 (Hourly )
Weekly Earned Wage Access is an option for this position.
Primary Tasks:
Act as a mentor in teaching servant leadership skills and provide skill building education with an emphasis on empowering youth.
Facilitate activities designed to promote leadership, cultural awareness, core values, teamwork, perseverance, and volunteering.
Support and advocate on behalf of youth that may be facing problems that need referral to other agencies/programs within and outside of the Choctaw Nation.
Screen all volunteer and educational opportunities for credibility and safety on behalf of the youth.
Facilitate productive monthly student led meetings, to ensure that students follow proper meeting protocol using Robert’s Rules of order, and that a community action plan is created and implemented for each project.
Coordinate community service projects with: community/county coalitions, Service Organizations, Chambers of Commerce, Public Schools, Choctaw Nation Programs, and numerous other organizations, while maintaining relationships with key personnel.
Document and maintain accurate volunteer projects and hours and provide statistical activity reports when requested.
Collaborate with other Choctaw Nation Education Programs to provide new member recruitment opportunities with school districts and other organizations.
Ensure that all program objectives are met while re-evaluating processes to maintain relevancy.

Job Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in Leadership Development, Education, Behavioral Sciences or similar field.
Possess strong oral and written communication skills; strong computer and technology skills; as well as the ability to relate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
Prior experience in designing and administering educational curriculum.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Professional ethics and confidentiality related to working with minor students.
Exhibit a willingness to work a flexible work schedule as necessary. This will occasionally encompass evening and weekend hours.
