Patient Access Manager Durant Revenue Management

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Patient Access Manager maintains the primary network of the registration function to increase total revenue for the Choctaw Nation Healthcare System. You will oversee revenue enhancement and servicing of patients. You will report to the Revenue Management Director.
Primary Tasks:
Oversee the staff and budget of all Revenue Management departments.
Provide guidance to leaderships in managing patient access.
Aim to build required skill levels for each staff member to reach goals set by administration and compliance.
Review regulatory updates to patient access, third-party resources, and preauthorization guidelines; advise appropriate departments.
Support the billing function of the healthcare system by providing quantitative and qualitative data reports; seek outside assistance for additional resources.
Collaborate with the business analytics team to produce reports and audit results to managers to help in the decision-making process.
Audit department records to ensure processes are followed and quality standards are upheld.
Establish training plans and policies for the Revenue Management departments; hold staff meetings quarterly.
Perform other responsibilities as may be assigned.
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
MINIMUM
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of medical terminology, The Affordable Care Act and Choctaw Nation patient eligibility guidelines
Marketplace Certified Application Counselor (CAC) within 30 days of hire
Two [2] years supervisory experience
Five [5] years of directly related experience
