Casino Deep Clean Technician

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Deep Clean Technician is tasked with cleaning that goes beyond the normal daily cleaning and scrubbing operations of the EVS staff. The Deep Cleaning Technician’s responsibilities include: Strip floors, Wax floors, Buffing, carpet care, window washing, construction cleanup, deep clean. The Deep Cleaning Crew normally works third shift while there are fewer guests and associates so they can complete deep cleaning tasks in high traffic areas. You will report to the EVS Supervisor, Shift Manager, or Manager.
Pay for Deep Clean is based on the times you work!
7:30am-1:00pm - $15
1:00pm-7:00pm - $16
7:00pm-7:30am - $17
Schedules will overlap the pay differentials and allow you to make one rate for part of your shift and a higher rate for part of your shift.
Full Time| 3rd Shift
Primary Tasks:
You will operate industrial cleaning equipment: Floor Scrubbers, shampooers, sweepers, buffers, steam cleaners, escalator cleaners, and single and two man lifts.
Perform heavy duty cleaning such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls, and removing rubbish.
You will repair of cleaning equipment, tools, and lifts.
Follow approved cleaning practices with proper chemicals within MSDS guidelines.
High Work: remove dust and cobwebs from vents, ceiling tiles, signs, ledges, fixtures, windows, wall hangings, and light fixtures. This often involves working overhead and operating a scissor lift to access inaccessible areas, usually at heights of 40+ feet.
Floor Maintenance: cleaning and removing stains from fabric or carpet; shampooing, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
Standard Cleaning: windows, doors, walls, ceilings, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways, often using ladders or stools to clean hard to reach areas, to maintain a clean, presentable, and attractive facility.
You will polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
You will answer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department and take immediate initiative to clean or correct problem areas.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Ability to work nights/weekends
Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo (includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods)
Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic maintenance
General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry
Understand government public health regulations
Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience
